I spent most of last week in downtown Chicago at a conference that they say maybe maxed out around 8,000 people attending. Chicago may have been a bit unseasonably cool last week, with most of the days in the 40s and of course some wind. Probably about 5-10% of the folks attending were Chinese, many of them younger ones attending universities. Many must have looked at the weather forecasts and decided to bring their winter coats. I saw about a half dozen coyote trimmed ones (no pale colors. mostly the typical tawny variant) and a couple of coon trimmed heavier coats. I had not seen coon trimmed garments before. I saw some other fur garments but it was the Chinese kids that had the most on. Nice to see the end product of trapper's efforts in real life!! I wish there was more...
