The snow is long gone and "The cameras are out !!

Good to be back. Missed you all. Lets just say you wont get any pics this year of me leaping from log to log . Last year I took a beating. I am afraid any one hide hunting this year around here will be unhappy. I am sure the bears have been out for a month. I think they will be rubbing in a week. The bears have worked the bark off of the approach log in front of the barrel and it has been raining. Today, I bought 2 non slip floor mats to put on the log and platform when I am working. April 15 is the opener and I put bait out before work. I will be adding a bottom center anchor to the barrel , it will stop the bigger bears from putting there back to the camera and pulling the barrel around the tree.

Setting up on 4/15/15. ( still struggling with cams and dates )

Checked again today 5/4/15. The barrel was again empty. It was raised 3 links. There is only 1 cam out of 3 that is , hopefully, working.
